| kitty54 | Posted 2/7/2008 10:08:17 AM | show profile Hi, I pitched a story to an editor. She said to refine my pitch and send it back. She also explained some specifics regarding how the stories should be written. Is it okay if I ask her to send over some samples? I have one issue of the magazine but I want to get a better feel of the style etc. Thanks. |
| Suet | Posted 2/7/2008 10:37:11 AM | show profile I suggest getting back issues either online or at a library. If that doesn't work / if you're not up to it I suppose you could always ask her to send something she thought was exemplary. |
| Canadiana | Posted 2/7/2008 11:11:50 AM | show profile I'd avoid asking the editor for samples if at all possible. Sounds like you're on your way to selling your piece though; congratuations. |
