Also what do you tell people when you want to interview them for an article but no media outlet has has accepted your article yet? |
| cynthiarupe | Posted 2/7/2008 8:52:35 PM | show profile If you can use several different sources for your story, like dieticians, for example, I would pitch the story first, then do the articles. If you're pitching a story about a specific person or company, I'd run the idea past them and see if they're interested. When you get the story, then take the time to interview them. |

Too bad there's no editing button ;) If you're writing about a topic that allows you several experts to choose from as your sources, then I would pitch the story first, get the gig, then start interviewing sources. This way, if one person doesn't want to work with you, you simply move on to the next qualified expert. That's what I was trying to say ;) |
