| jisforjimbo | Posted 2/7/2008 6:34:33 PM | show profile Cooper, you have like 5 to 7 times the staff as Greta and yet she still puts you shame in the ratings and then some. Stop trying to copy her with the live blogging thing. Her blog puts yours to shame. Nobody wants to post on your stupid blog. Just go back to your biased, bogus, rediculous, insane "most trusted name in news" and stop trying to copy other people's brilliant ideas. Your the most trusted name in news... your the global news network... come up with some ideas of your own and stop trying to copy Greta. Your show is a joke... its the stupidest thing in the world that you repeat it at 11... after just showing the same episode... its no wonder nobody watches it. Cooper, go relocate to the New Orleans bureau. www.hootieholloway.blogspot.com |
| Baile | Posted 2/7/2008 7:12:07 PM | show profile This reads like an attack ad for Greta - and you are??? |
| jisforjimbo | Posted 2/7/2008 7:43:03 PM | show profile CNN should rename his show the CNN Hurricane Report cause thats all he ever covers. www.hootieholloway.blogspot.com |
| Printingman | Posted 2/8/2008 8:50:37 AM | show profile | email poster She's got to be one of the most unattractive people on TV. I once saw spittle coming out of her mouth at the OJ trial....Yuck |
| Ryano | Posted 2/8/2008 9:52:46 AM | show profile Cooper= real news Greta= tabloid magazine Your right, dont even try to compare news with trash. |
| Baile | Posted 2/8/2008 10:03:29 AM | show profile Ryano - I agree with what you say. Cooper is quality news vs "indignation" bunk. If you want tabloid then Greta is the gal if not turn to Cooper for something of substance. Unfortunately substance is not in vogue right now for many people. Look at Obama's campaign for proof of this! All hype and fluff - |
| soulman | Posted 2/8/2008 10:46:45 AM | show profile CNN #1 om Prime Time Hasn't anyone seen CNN's promos lately? They are now #1 in Prime Time! FOX has lost their ratings lead, and probably for good. CNN has the best debates and wins the ratings every time. CNN is back to the glory days. I wish Ted Turner was still in charge. He was absolutely the best. Very smart man. |
| soulman | Posted 2/8/2008 10:50:08 AM | show profile CNN #1 in Prime Time My above message should have said IN Prime Time, not om. That's what hurrying will do for you. |
| bulletinizer | Posted 2/8/2008 12:35:42 PM | show profile Hurrying leads to spelling mistakes.... But, thinking proves you're a moron. |
| jisforjimbo | Posted 2/8/2008 3:35:44 PM | show profile People are just spinning agian and agian. Fox News blows CNN and MSNBC out of the water with about a million viewers to spare. Greta puts cooper to SHAME! People, especially the spinners on the internet want others to believe CNN and MSNBC are actually successful operations. Even if you combined their ratings... they still would be abismil. Their dry, dull, and boring. Its no wonder nobody watches them. |
| Baile | Posted 2/8/2008 3:41:31 PM | show profile Boring to you maybe - you must need a lot of "emotion" "hype" and other fluff - but not boring to those looking for an intelligent reporting on issues. Like I said Fox is tabloid - like Murdoch's other venues. |
| voracious reader | Posted 2/8/2008 4:30:38 PM | show profile Something funny... My husband and I were on a plane a few weeks ago and my husband recognized this guy but couldn't figure out where he knew him from. When the plane finally landed, he asked me to check out the guy when he deplaned. I said, "Idiot, that's Dr. Michael Baden, who's on Greta's show most nights dissecting the latest murder!" I'm telling you, her show puts me to sleep most nights and Dr. Baden is usually the last person he sees long after I'm asleep. |
| cpbcop | Posted 2/8/2008 6:33:37 PM | show profile cooper vs Greta Just say it over and over again and it will come true, "MSNBC and CNN are the real news channels and FOX is in last place". Then click your ruby slippers together. p.s. I noticed the way MSNBC stands behind it's reporters and commentators. Lot's of support and leadership being generated by the main office types. It is getting too obvious as to whom signs their paychecks. |
| gunter | Posted 2/8/2008 9:33:25 PM | show profile I used to watch Fox continually, but lately I find myself tuning them out from 8 - 11. O'Reilly's success has gone to his head soooo much that he now thinks he's powerfull enough that, "I'll take care of that for you," has become his by-line. Shiver, shiver Bill's on my trail. Having said that, I still wouldn't watch KO, unless you held a gun to my head. Hannity & Colmes is like a Chinese fire drill anymore. Everyone talking over each other and breaking into cacophonous screaming. Sounds like a children's playground. All the while, Alan making stupid sarcastic comments and breaking into another person's conversation, when it's his turn at bat, with an intro of hey, uh - hey, uh instead of Mr./Mrs., Sen. or what ever name/title is appropriate to the one speaking, instead of hey,uh. Greta should be working for the National Enquirer. Her show is schlock journalism at it's worst. She chases after lost person stories like a two-bit ambulance chasing lawyer. Poor Beth Holloway, as much as I feel so deeply sorry for her, Greta had her on so often that I thought she should have gotten equal billing. For months on end, that was the entire content of Grett's show and it worn thin on me, and I'm sure others felt the same. Talk about getting the last drop out of that story! Then there's the infamous panel, led by wah-a-wah Ted. Smart man, but God I can't stand to listen to him talk. What kind of dialect is that? I'm a Republican, so it's next to impossible to watch PMSNBC because of their leftist bent, but Anderson Cooper is a real reporter, not a hag in disguise as a serious journalist. By the way, Greta should sue her plastic surgeon cause it just ain't working. |
| gunter | Posted 2/8/2008 9:49:19 PM | show profile Oh, I Forgot..... Ever notice how every story lead on Greta's show is proclaimed to be BREAKING NEWS!! No Greta, it isn't breaking news. That story has already been on all the networks all day long, and sometimes it was first reported yesterday. Talk about a day late and a dollar short.....what a great reporter, NOT! |
