Topic: Advertising PA- acceptable writing samples???

I went to school for animation and have decided I would like to produce for a post house. Never in any of my career training were we told/prepare to provide samples. I found a position I would really like to apply for as a Production Assistant and have no idea what to submit for this.

Would a page from a print catalog I designed for a freelance job be acceptable? (I wrote the page based on loose client direction.)

I also have written professional letters on behalf of the last company I worked for to outreach for a budding internship program, can I use that?

Would creative pitches used for TV commercials work?
