| bystander | Posted 2/8/2008 4:40:37 PM | show profile Just weeks after Christ Matthews had to apologize for his vitriol against Hillary Clinton we have his side kick David Shuster - who came to Matthews side in the past debacle - referring to Chelsea Clinton as "pimping" for her Mom. What the hell is wrong with these guys?? They are so biased against the Clinton campaign that their "political" discussion is now reduced to asking how can Obama win - with no reference at all as to how Clinton might. This hatred and bias is way out of control on MSNBC. I am pleased to hear that the Clinton campaign has now shot back at them - at last. Clinton may refuse to debate on their pathetic misogynous network. |
| rockyroad | Posted 2/8/2008 4:54:35 PM | show profile I find it amusing that MSNBC is taken to task for their negatives comments about Hillary but are allowed to spew hate against any republican. Maybe now people will realize that MSNBC is nothing but a second rate cable outfit now run by the most hateful person of all, Keith Olbermann. Shuster also had to apologize to a republican congresswoman a few months ago for a gotcha moment about the name of a soldier killled in Iraq. I hope the Clinton's pull the plug on MSNBC. It is a disgraceful organization |
| Baile | Posted 2/8/2008 5:02:20 PM | show profile David Shuster has been on the brink for some time - he was one of the first to affirm that creep Matthews when he made his attacks on Hillary and had to apologize. It seemed that instead of acting cautions after that time mamny of the "correspondents" there became emboldened and really went on to attack Hillary. Yesterday afternoon there was outright sneering at the idea of another debate by two females - who wants another debate is Hillary crazy they leered - this before the station announced they had one. I agree that MSNBC is a disaster waiting to implode. |
| rockyroad | Posted 2/8/2008 5:17:36 PM | show profile Of course it was because she was a republican. MSNBC only takes action when they take heat from their bread and butter audience, the far left. Now that the left is dissing them, watch their ratings plummet. Hateful partisanship can only carry water for a little while. Then it becomes tiresome. MSNBC has jumped the shark. |
| Baile | Posted 2/8/2008 5:25:03 PM | show profile This kind of stuff should show no political party bias - whether Dem or Rep they ought to be called on it and called out. What a disastrous network - they all behave like a bunch of amateurs. Sometimes their "conversations" on air sound like overheard remarks from a bus stop. Totally unprofessional. |
| annie.luo | Posted 2/8/2008 5:30:34 PM | show profile pathetic That comment was really unncessary and quite pathetic |
| pallamel | Posted 2/8/2008 5:38:58 PM | show profile Cant wait to watch Bill Oreilly tonight. I'm sure he is getting ready to rip MSNBC(owned by General Electric) a new one. |
| jtjt225m | Posted 2/8/2008 5:58:19 PM | show profile What a joke! You all are a bunch of jokes. When did we become so uptight, and not understand the comparison. First, on the Countdown thing. KO was on vacation, when he returned, he made an apology about the segment and said it was wrong. I guess you all missed watching that, or seeing it when TVnewser put it up. Shuster's comment was nothing that harsh. It is also funny how we don't pay attention to the praise he gave her. How he said positive things about what she was doing. Instead, the left wants to make him seem like a Hillary hater. The phrase pimping isn't that bad, and in some ways everyone is pimping for something, or pimps for someone. Its not that bad. We all need to grow up. |
| fmrlygungho | Posted 2/8/2008 6:11:55 PM | show profile Shuster's Slapdown I,m shocked, SHOCKED !!! that Shuster has been called to task for this remark. Since he said it on MSNBC, who heard it? ------ Don S. |
| pallamel | Posted 2/8/2008 10:59:01 PM | show profile msnbc Times must be very bad at MSNBC.Even the liberal idiots at mediamatters.com are ripping MSNBC and NBC.Their whole front page is devoted to tearing NBC apart. LOL |
| topcat111961 | Posted 2/9/2008 12:00:04 AM | show profile | email poster Fox News This is why I switched years ago. (And I'm not a Hill fan) |
| Latin1 | Posted 2/9/2008 2:49:35 AM | show profile MSNBC pundits are openly rooting for Obama... The pundits at MSNBC are openly rooting for Obama that they can't even hide their disdain for Hillary. They have thrown their lot behind Obama and in almost every segement are savaging Hillary Clinton. Sickening. That is why that network is sinking because first of all Matthews sounds like he hates women, Olbermann is an idiot and Schuster is a punk. Hillary should not debate on that network. |
| Queen Kong | Posted 2/9/2008 6:36:33 AM | show profile " The phrase pimping isn't that bad, and in some ways everyone is pimping for something, or pimps for someone. Its not that bad. " Oh, yes it is. There is TV for crack heads and gangsta wannabes -- and then there is TV for adult viewers. If you're going to work as a journalist in broadcast news you'd better remember who butters your bread and where the money for that butter is coming from. |
