| jtjt225m | Posted 2/8/2008 7:10:35 PM | show profile Many wonder if the Clinton machine is real, or how power it is. Well, take a look at David Shuster and MSNBC. A valid question how if Chelsea was kind of being pimped out, gets a wind storm. Countless others have made worst comments, with less happening to them. MSNBC is all the way in the lefts pocket. David Shuster who is attempting at making a name at himself, ask questions that weren't Chris Matthews mean spirited like, and the machine got going. Shuster's "apology" was lame and unnecessary on Tucker today. You can tell NBC news didn't really care, but because they need the dems, they kicked him to the curb for the weekend. That's all this suspension is going to be most likely. He'll be back on Monday. |
| rockyroad | Posted 2/8/2008 7:50:33 PM | show profile It's interesting that most on MSNBC savage republicans with no outrage but as soon as they criticize a Dem, all hell breaks loose. I agree with you, Shuster was thrown under the bus to placate the Clintons and salvage the Dem debate. Watch MSNBC become Clinton cheerleaders and throw all their venom at the republicans who don't whine. MSNBC has jumped the shark and is a second rate cable outlet that has outlived its use. |
| jisforjimbo | Posted 2/8/2008 10:25:32 PM | show profile I'm not here to give a political opinion or tell who I'm endorsing... but I will say that I do think the Clinton Machine is real and that its powerful. |
| pallamel | Posted 2/8/2008 11:00:54 PM | show profile MSNBC Times must be very bad at MSNBC.Even the liberal idiots at mediamatters.com are ripping MSNBC and NBC.Their whole front page is devoted to tearing NBC apart. LOL |
| ngcummings | Posted 2/8/2008 11:05:35 PM | show profile You morons. Have you checked out Media Matters lately? This is not just about the Clintons. Do some research before you post. |
| Latin1 | Posted 2/15/2008 9:50:49 PM | show profile Actually the title the Clinton "Machine" is one of the reason many people had a negative image of her. the word 'Machine' indicates 'insider' to many people. |
| Latin1 | Posted 2/15/2008 9:53:33 PM | show profile MACHINE means cold, massive, not personal, and uncaring. The name "Clinton Machine" might have not helped get her elected if people used that term becuase in reality it is unflattering and cold. |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 2/15/2008 11:20:06 PM | show profile Media Matters is neutral. It just happens there's more slime in the Republican party. |
| Guyarthurthomas | Posted 2/16/2008 8:07:48 AM | show profile Media Matters is neutral....hahahahahahahaha.....hahahahahahahahaha...wiping tears of laughter....hahahahahahahahaha...Media Matters is neutral....hahahahahahahahaha....gawd that was funny. Neutral....Media Matters....hahahahahahahahaha. |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 2/16/2008 9:24:24 AM | show profile Media Matters is neutral, neutral, neutral, neutral, nuetral, neutral, neutral......Oh, how they bow before the alter of Fixed News! |
| chucho | Posted 2/16/2008 12:08:46 PM | show profile I'd also add that these nutters that keep reviving the Olberman/OReilly thing keep saying that they're simply responding to all the anti-Fox posts on this forum. I have to disagree. I bet if you go back and actually do a tabulation you'll find that not only will you find a lot more "all media has a liberal bias except Fox News" diatribes but that the people most guilty of perpetuating this stupid debate are the usual Fox apologist suspects on this board, including whomever keep changing his or her screen name. In other words: this debate is manufactured and the accusations that everyone else on this board has a bias against Fox is perpetuated by their incessant posting of ridiculous defenses of the indefensible. Until these two or three people appeared on this board, the rest of us were happily and quit regularly criticizing various media orgs and numerous networks. I know I've alwasy be anti-cable news in general. It just so happens that the prevailing opinion is that Fox News is the most egregious violator, mainly because the Fox conglomerate is huge and synergized -- so the world is assaulted with Bill O'Reilly not just one hour every night, but two hours every night and then syndicated on local Fox affiliates and on a multi-hour radio daily radio program on an even larger network of local affiliates. He's everywhere. By comparison, the weak commentariat on MSNBC don get nearly as much play. If the right wingers on the baord actually bothered to think about it: that KO is NOT nearly as big and popular as BOR,perhaps this is why people are more ficused on criticizing BOR. Nobody frigging cares what KO says. But the right-wingers practically goose step to BOR's tune, so perhaps this is why he gets criticized more on this forum -- not because of a vast liberal conspiracy, but because BOR is more influential. You hear right-wing nutter regurgitating his crap all the time. That makes him worthy of greater scrutiny. His popularity is why perhaps he's criticized more. Liberal don't give s**t what KO says because most of them don't watch him (or if they do it's purely for entertainment purposes) and they certainly don't adopt his views and rhetoric like obedient little fascists. The same cannot be said for the commentariat on Fox, because they are -- as the nutters are always quick to illustrate -- far more significant and influential. Put it this way: you can't have that cake and then eat it. If BOR is a hot shot, he deserved to be criticizes more than the not-so-hot shots. You'd agree with that if you didn't think agree with a liberal is a sign of weakness in your weird, competitive and mean world view. |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 2/16/2008 12:21:17 PM | show profile You know Chucho - before the Fixed News zombies arrived this board was civil and absent the anti- liberal poison. It's all fake stuff. Those who spill this garbage are phonies. It's like Charles Barkley taking on the born agains yesterday. They are a pack of nutbars who aren' really Christians at all. I worked around those PTL Clubbers back in the late seventies when they were riding high - some serious boy chasers and wife swappers. These people would look you in the eye with some kind of sickness deep inside. How could one ever believe they could gain a serious position in mainstream America to influence anything? We need to move on and deal will the world's real problems and get past these human stumbling blocks. Liberals have bold ideas and a positive outlook - conservatives can't even get a five minute dance with Smokey the Bear. |
| chucho | Posted 2/16/2008 12:56:31 PM | show profile RON MEXICO SEZ: >> On MSNBC you can call Republicans nazis, << GEE WHIZ, RON MEXICO IS VERRY SMART AND HIS OBSERVATIONS ARE SOOOOO ACCURATE: On the February 11 broadcast of Fox News Radio's Tom Sullivan Show, host Tom Sullivan took a call from a listener who stated: "Listening to [Sen. Barack] Obama ... it harkens back to when I was younger and I used to watch those deals with [Nazi dictator Adolf] Hitler, how he would excite the crowd and they'd come to their feet and scream and yell." Sullivan replied: "Oh, yeah, yeah ... I presume you're not saying he's Hitler, but I understand your point." Following the commercial break, Sullivan stated the caller "wasn't calling Barack Obama Hitler. He was just talking about how Hitler got the crowd all excited, and Barack Obama got the crowd all excited." Sullivan then stated that he would do a "side-by-side comparison" of a Hitler speech and an Obama speech. |
| chucho | Posted 2/16/2008 2:26:51 PM | show profile Ron: I've never said BOR wasn't the most popular on the cable news commentariat, so there's nothing that I "finally get" about your right wing pablum. Keep blathering. And what is this pedantic crap about "Well, gee, Tom Sullivan never actually called Obama Hitler!" He's clearly trying to tie Obama into a Nazi-like cult of personality by comparing their speeches. If KO had done that with a Bush speech, you'd be farting a different tune out of your 22-percenter's maw. And you know it. |
