| Toast | Posted 2/9/2008 2:00:37 PM | show profile Phil Griffin will have no choice but to address yet another fiasco with a member of his employ. But after all it is under phil's tutelage that this culture of corruption at MSNBC has been promoted, promulgated, posited and defended by teary eyed bloggers and media who claim to be insiders. What is going on at MSNBC is no different than is what is going on with the modern democratic party and the main stream media. They have combined the politics of personal destruction into the politicization of identity politics of race, gender and religion to silence the opposition. The only problem is they are getting caught in their own web and there is no escape. 2008 will be a fiasco not only for Shuster, but MSDNC and the democrats. No matter what they say to the contrary the democrats, main stream media and the soon to be spun of step child MSDNC use race, gender and religion as the primary vehicle for their message of hatred of the right. General Electric understands this, which is why MSNBC is being spun off as we speak. Bye now. |
| Toast | Posted 2/10/2008 12:20:30 PM | show profile David Shuster, you will be relieved of your gum shoe responsibilities at MSNBC / NBC by Valentines Day. Better order a few extra pajamagrams and some hot pink bloomers for good measure. You macaca'd yourself. |
| Guyarthurthomas | Posted 2/10/2008 3:34:30 PM | show profile Mamma said knock you out... David Shuster....hahahahahahaha....hahahahahahaha.....hahahahahahahaha.... Mamma said knock you out, I'm gonna knock you out... What a pathetic excuse for a political commentator. Buh bye DAVID SHMUCKSTER. |
| SuburbanCorrespondent | Posted 2/10/2008 5:21:16 PM | show profile Lots of excellent points made here. Why has no one else brought up the possibility of Shuster purchasing a pair of hot pink bloomers before? |
| pallamel | Posted 2/10/2008 5:58:53 PM | show profile David Shuster is a great reporter. "Signed" Jeffery Immelt and Steve Capus |
| Latin1 | Posted 2/10/2008 7:05:27 PM | show profile MTV offers Schuster job? Has MTV hired Schuster for a position which he is more qualified for? http://www.unconfirmedsources.com/index.php?itemid=3017 lol |
| jtjt225m | Posted 2/10/2008 7:17:16 PM | show profile Yes, I have to agree to some of those points. MSNBC has attempted to say how they are growing, unfortunately they will lose that growth. Shuster's comment was not that bad, his bosses just have no balls. Also, because they are appearing to be so deep in the dems pocket, they are going to fail. The difference between FNC and MSNBC is how the news is presented. It starts with there dayside coverage. They recycle the same news each hour, and its not interesting, nor complete coverage. FNC actually gives complete coverage and details. It sucks that MSNBC wants Hillary so much. What will happen if she doesn't win? They are going to destroy the name they are trying to build, before they even have a good one. |
| bystander | Posted 2/11/2008 9:02:05 AM | show profile jtjt - what do you mean by this? : "It sucks that MSNBC wants Hillary so much. What will happen if she doesn't win? They are going to destroy the name they are trying to build, before they even have a good one." Since when did MSNBC want Hillary to win? |
| jtjt225m | Posted 2/11/2008 10:57:27 AM | show profile If upper management didn't want her to like them, they wouldn't have suspended Shuster. They would have backed him up, right? By them suspending him, having him apologize multiple times, showing a Hillary Headliners and Legend on Saturday night, being the only net to show all of her J & J speech. What does that mean to you? They aren't just trying to save a stupid debate, they are trying to get in early, just in case she wins. Olbermann apologized on his show Friday night. They may pimp for Obama, but still want her. |
| bystander | Posted 2/11/2008 11:27:34 AM | show profile Yes, JTJT _ I agree that they are covering their proverbial backsides - but only when those backsides got exposed too much. Their Obama mania went unchecked until the public and Clinton campaign got outraged. Clinton will not allow herself to be "swift boated" as she herself has said - and I admire her for this. A comment like this about any candidate's daughter ought to be challenged. But I do think that they were in the Obama camp and would have remained there - pimping for Obama if you like - had they not been called on it. For reasons that are not clear I believe that Matthews personally felt that he could influence the outcome of this election - and he got his lackeys like Shuster to fall in line behind him. Maybe it is all vanity. But MSNBC made a mistake by allowing the station to become a mouth piece for Obama and a no holes barred leering critic of Hillary. |
