| scribble | Posted – 2/11/2008 1:18:05 PM | show profile I do this kind of work regularly. However, I worked for two years as an in house freelance fact checker for two major magazines. When I left NYC to move to another city, I continued working with one magazine from home and my name has gotten around, so I sometimes get calls from other magazines to do freelance fact checking from home. I think you'd need to build up your reputation by working on site at the NY mags that hire freelance fact checkers, then segue into working from home. I have no idea how book publishers operate.
