I am going to be moving to nyc in june, i have my bachelor's and 3 internships in pr. I have experience in fashion/beauty, does anyone know of any good fashion/pr/entertainment agencies that are known for hiring entry level positions?

I worked for 2 years for a global firm specializing in health care, so I'm not an expert on beauty and fashion PR. But, the first thing you should do is put your resume on Monster. When I was looking to switch jobs, I put my resume on and I got at least a call a day from an agency or headhunting firm. Second is to call headhunters. There's a staffing agency called Searchlight that contacted me and has lots of open PR jobs all over. Google them and get in touch, see if they have any openings or advice for you. If you're looking to build a list of agencies for you to contact directly, the first place I'd look is in PR industry trade magazines such as PR Week. Also the PR Association of America (PRSA) has awards every year, and you might look at the lists of past winners for names of agencies that specialize in what you're interested in. All in all, you're in a good position with 3 internships, and there's LOTS of turnover at agencies so you should do OK.

Try odwyerpr.com and search for NYC companies that specialize in fashion and/or entertainment. For the ones that interest you, go to their website to see if they have any entry-level job openings. If they do, move forward and send out your resume. If not, you can either call or send a cold resume to see if they are hiring. I job hunted this way and ended up with three interviews in NYC, one leading to my current job.

Good luck!
