I am getting a letter of reccomendation from my current internship. I am getting lots of interviews but not able to get the job. Would it be better for me to submit a letter of rec with my resume to get an edge up?

No. No one takes those letters seriously. If you're getting interviews, the problem isn't with the resume, or letter, it's with you and how you are presenting yourself in the interview. It could just be that the timing is off and the other candidates you've been up against have been stronger. Are you getting second interviews? If so that is a good sign and is likely more a matter of timing. If you're getting first interviews but no second step after that, they you need to consider how you are interviewing and work on those skills.

I have a handout I'll send you if you shoot me an interview that covers some of the standard questions you're likely to get. It may be of interest to see how you've been handling these and how I suggest you approach them. My suggestions are from many years of working with candidates like yourself and gathering feedback after the interviews from candidates and companies.

I've been on about 7 interviews in the past 5 wks for entry level pr jobs. I feel that the interview goes well and they ask when I can start and mention that with my previous experience I would be great for the job. I have tried looking for interview classes because I don't know if its just the job market or if it's me. My email is fsuandrea@mac.com... thanks so much for your help.
