| zpt | Posted 3/3/2008 5:49:13 PM | show profile | email poster If you are on staff at a magazine and have been profiled as a "contributor" with a blurb and a picture, is it tacky or informative to put the page in your portfolio? Does it speak to how much you are valued there? |
| dribbledrive1 | Posted 3/3/2008 6:37:24 PM | show profile Not to burst your bubble, but anyone who is on staff at a magazine for any length of time has usually been "profiled" ont he contributor's page. The only reason I'd put something like that ina portfolio would depend on what the editor said: If the blurb was extremely laudatory about the way you reporting a piece or something, sure, I'd use it. If it was a fairly generic blurb, I wouldn't. |
