Hi,

I am writing to inquire about any film productions that may be shooting in the Washington, DC area from late May onward. I am very much interested in any production assistant positions that may become available during that time. I graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre last May of 2007. Since November, I have been in Providence, Rhode Island working as a production assistant for independent film director, Michael Corrente on his latest film projects. Mr. Corrente's films are set to shoot soon, and once production wraps, I am returning to Washington, DC in May for an extended period of time to continue to pursue film and television production work.

It would be wonderful if you could please point me in the right direction, so that I may be able to find production work (for either film or television) within the DC area.

Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Join the DC chapter of Women and Film Video (you don't need to be a woman). You can find them through a Google search. They have PA jobs on the listserv all the time. Also sign up at the DC Film Office. And start working the phones at Discovery Communications and National Geographic Television. DC is a much bigger documentary town than feature town, but the experience is just as valuable. GW should be able to help you out as well.
