Given the safety of products coming out of China lately, I'd think the *real* story here would be if any recent scaffolding/construction accidents have been due to faulty Chinese products. It's not my bag, but I'd love to see one of the investigative-journo types on this board jump onto this. |

Metal products, furniture, refrigerator parts, car parts... etc etc etc etc coming out of China are perfectly fine. If you only knew all the everyday items we take for granted that were produced in China you'd be amazed. Toys, drugs, cat food....not so fine |

Yes, slave. These human beings who are resposible for the growth of China, are quicky whisked away from the modern glitz and glam of growth. These people, who work themselves to the bone, to build up their country, are not allowed to reap the benefits of their labor- hence, the slave part. Next, they are informed to leave the site,unpaid, once the hard work has been done. The effect of such disgusting, inhumane behavior- these people are left with no recourse. Guess what they do? Jump! They jump to their death off of scaffolding, in an attempt to draw attention to their plight. SO, any talk of scaffolding must include their story. Why is this under the radar? |
