| Fribble | Posted 3/5/2008 12:18:20 PM | show profile Hi, Looking for a contact at Gourmet. Any help appreciated. Thanks. |
| ISR | Posted 3/5/2008 12:47:27 PM | show profile for what exactly? |
| Fribble | Posted 3/5/2008 1:15:42 PM | show profile I'd like to expand something I did for the NYTimes Magazine So looking for an editor to talk to. Thanks. |
| ISR | Posted 3/5/2008 9:15:36 PM | show profile Jocelyn Zuckerman is the one to pitch, unless it's FOB. |
| Fribble | Posted 3/5/2008 9:26:01 PM | show profile Thanks ISR Thank you. |
| joyeuxnoelle | Posted 3/6/2008 9:30:04 AM | show profile You don't think double dipping like that will turn the gourmet editor off? No judgement just asking. |
| snuffleupagus | Posted 3/6/2008 9:52:36 AM | show profile I once nabbed a feature assignment with Gourmet after sending them something I did for the local paper on the same topic. Sadly, the story was killed in the end. (I got a hefty kill fee, and it will now be appearing in a competing food magazine!) |
| recovering_jersey_girl | Posted 3/6/2008 12:07:18 PM | show profile Snuffle, I'm curious: did you pitch them the feature cold, did you know someone there or did you do FOB assignments for them first? Thanks. |
| snuffleupagus | Posted 3/6/2008 10:37:46 PM | show profile I pitched them cold and was told it was a rare coup for an unknown writer. But again they killed it in the end. |
