So, if a client is "worthy" of a major broadcast outlet/show, they'll be pitched to that broadcast outlet/show. Rather than focus on a practice that has only "talking heads" or pundits, most go with specific industries and have clients that fall into those industrial categories, whether it be legal, entertainment, tech, etc. ------ Cyrus Afzali Astoria Communications www.astoriacomm.com |
| maphop | Posted – 3/31/2008 8:34:20 PM | show profile | email poster While I've certainly supplied my share of clients to news shows, talk shows and programs like Meet The Press, etc., I pitch them directly or, if it's a booker or producer I know well, they'll sometimes call me if they've suddenly got a slot they need to fill or if it's a topic where they know I've got an expert or two on that topic or - these days! - a view or unique take on current politics. I know firms that specialize in FINDING bookable people but not a firm that only handles "pundits." Not sure that could even work.
