Bizarre interview
When i was 20 I had an initial phone conversation with a man, and I accidently let him know I found him attractive as we were talking about canadian management, and I mentioned that he didn't sound canadian but implyed he was sexy. I think it slipped out because he was showing empathy about other things previously (high number of applications - unemployment). This also brought out strong feelings of regret about breaking up with my boyfriend as he wasn't there to give me emotional support. I had to hold back tears. I am not sure if he knew, but must have thought I was a basket case.

He asked me to come in for an interview. When I arrived he smiled and chuckled when I adjusted my skirt. It was a very formal interview however it was like a stress interview the empathy was so overwhelming. He was analysing me like a hawk, reflecting back to me my body language and any facial expression he disapproved of. It must not have gone too bad as he was being friendly but then he started to flirt. Gave me sly smiles, looking at me adoringly. I must have looked shocked because he said "don't worry" and mouthed the words your beautiful. He must not have liked my facial expression because I then got a look of disgust ( I do look like a retarded frog when I do a close lipped smile). I was anxious about not having questions but he said to call him and leave a message with his wife. He asked again out the door if I had any questions and asked me to call. I didn't know if he was making a joke of me, trying to help me or thought I did ok I got so many mixed messages. I didn't follow up I was confused. Is this bizarre? Not too bad?

One guy just showed up on the doorstep, expecting me to drop everything to talk to him.

A woman asked during the interview how long she would have to work at the job before she could collect unemployment and COBRA insurance.

Astrology for an Interview?
One editor at an arts news paper in her very late 20s was an odd bird who wore low rider jeans and a tight t-shirt with an icon of animals humping (bra optional) to my interview. Coming from New York, I felt a little uncomfortable wearing my suit jacket and trousers. At the interview for a low-level writing position she asked my sign and then what sort of music I listened to. Oh, she also wanted to get my birth date so she could write my chart.
