"Lacy bra and cargo pants for she and Nelly's 2006 "Call On Me."

First of all it's always best to give at least the full sentence when asking a grammar question, for context. Sometimes it helps to have the whole paragraph.

I would rewrite this to "lacy bra and cargo pants for her 2006 collaboration with Nelly, "Call On Me". Or, depending on how the sentence began, "lacy brand cargo pants she wore for the video of her 2006 collaboration with Nelly, "Call On Me." Of course you would have to know if that was her (Janet Jackson's) only 2006 collaboration with Nelly.

Yeah
I stumbled upon this in already in print. And it seems wrong. Shouldn't it be HER and Nelly's 2006 "Call on Me."

Please
Can someone else weigh in on this? Thanks.

It should be "her" because the word you need here should be a possessive pronoun. Take out "and Nelly's" and you'll see that you wouldn't say "she 2006 'Call on Me'" you would have to say "her 2006 'Call on Me'". Just as you wouldn't writie "she car"--it would be "her car."

Cheers!

Thanks
That's what I thought. But since it's already in print, I kept reading it over and over, thinking maybe I was wrong.
