Stimulus checks coming out sooner. Whew, that was a relief. Things were looking pretty grim.

Back to reality.

I've already spent ours, put it in our kids college savings accounts since they will be the ones burdened with all this debt. Cut a check for everyone, go further into debt... that's what I call long-term thinking here.

And we get to spend ours on our latest oil bill! Woohoo!

Happy Days Are Here Again!

Boy George, in discussing the expected "boost" to our plummeting economy with these checks, gave the coffee-spitter of the day with this little gem from AP today:

"It's obvious our economy is in a slowdown. But, fortunately, we recognized the signs early and took action," Bush said.

Yes, thank God.

It comes in time for me to pay an additional $43 per paycheck for my health care insurance, which is now a whopping total of $167 per paycheck for a single person. Thank you, Nixon, for making health care companies a big business/public companies and robbing the American people for generations to come.

And maybe the next president can help save social security because I have to temporarily pause my 401 k contributions to pay for all the things that increased this year.

God forgive me for thinking only of myself, but my government only seems to be thinking about saving businesses.

Of course not, Ron. I want to do my share to save the American economy.

Would have preferred a piece of the $32 billion a day in 2% interest (approx) loans that the banks have been getting for the past few months, but I guess we in the 98% not in Bush's favor have to take what we can get.
