Many words (fabulous) are like fashion. They come and go.

Any currently stylish ones you like that are mod and mellifluous and reflect likewise on you the writer?

...and does any woman use the word "panties," except those from a polygamous Mormon sect?

I love most words, just some are getting tiresomely over-used.

I love the word peculiar, and I like to use apparantly, simply because it rolls off of my tongue easily.

Chagrined is cool, as is mollified. Again, words I rarely can use when I am writing for work, since I write so much corporate speak nowadays. And I like petulant too.

Deadpan is a great descriptive, because it is a facial emotion that is really easy for me to visualize.

l love scintillating, but find few instances that I can use it where it would be taken seriously.

And I agree, panties is a silly word for a serious article of clothing. Undies is more dignified, and that is really not even remotely so.
