| Newsy | Posted 4/27/2008 6:43:33 PM | show profile Anybody have experiences with these pubs? I want to pitch, but am not sure how likely it is I'll get a response. |
| UrbanMuse | Posted 4/27/2008 11:50:31 PM | show profile | email poster I have pitched both Girl's Life wrote back and said they'd just covered something similar already (I think I pitched them a few times). Never heard from Justine, even after a couple of follow-ups. Relate magazine is for a similar demographic, and I did manage to get an assignment from them. ------ www.UrbanMuseWriter.com |

| hawkmail | Posted 4/28/2008 1:51:22 PM | show profile I've pitched the market editor at Justine product for one of my clients. She loved it but said it wouldn't make it into the magazine because it would be considered too racy for their market - very conservative/religious teens. I think they would be very open to someone who has the right fit for their audience. I was very surprised to find out what they consider too racy! |
| prdiva | Posted 4/28/2008 4:45:24 PM | show profile Relate is religious... It's Christian. I've written a beauty story for them in the past. They're easy to work with and pay pretty quickly. |
