Question:

I'm sure it'll be relatively easy with my background doing multi-track audio editing/creative services. I'm curious whether I really need to spend thousands taking a crash course in Final Cut Pro or Avid or if my background can help me figure it out on my own.

If you are in New York, DCTV (Downtown Community Television) has affordable Final Cut classes. I've taken production workshops there and attended lectures, and I love the vibe of the place. Their Web site is dctvny.org.

Hey Parz ...
If you have a solid audio editing background, the video side will be a snap. Been there, done that.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info and the remarks. It's something I've wanted to learn for a while now.
