I know media Bistro is good but was wondering if there are other like MB. Let me know...

this is it. but you can check individual publisher websites, and publishers weekly in the back.

editor and publisher has a job board. ed2010 is a good job board for magazine work.

Actually, I see plenty of publishing jobs on non-publishing, generic job boards that are not posted here. Not sure why that is, but perhaps not every company or HR director knows about MB or wants to post here after reading some of the racist drivel and hate speech spewed on some of the threads on the boards.

I'm guessing that HR folks know that people post obnoxious things of all types on message boards of all kinds, and that this doesn't influence their decision of where to advertise jobs.

Which is not to say I don't share your dismay at inappropriate posts here, and spam for that matter, which certainly could be better attended to given the site's prospects.

bbboston.org has boston book jobs... i think there's something similar for new york, too (book binders, maybe?).

First place for publishing is www.publishersmarketplace.com/jobs, second place is www.bookjobs.com, and third is here on MediaBistro. Different publishing houses have different favorites, but most serious job postings go to Publishers Marketplace or BookJobs.
