And np, you are passionate about Hillary. We get that. But it might be good if you rein in that passion a bit before flaming those who are not so passionate about Hillary. More light, less heat. Just some friendly unasked-for advice. |

Every thread seems to become transformed into a discussion of why Clinton is so wonderful and Obama is scary/awful. Frankly it's a huge turn off. How about this notpriveleged... I'll go on a week-long fast not talking about energy/oil/gasoline (and not even subtle references to it) andyou go on a week-long fast not talking about Clinton, Obama, or even veiled references to either? |

Passion's fine; flaming others for disagreeing with you is something else. And as someone suggested, perhaps more positive "why I like Hillary" and less tearing down Obama would be more constructive. |

My problem with your posts isn't that they express a difference of political opinion or "passion" or whatever. It's that you seem to feel free to get extremely personal and insulting toward fellow posters. Sorry, but I don't see how "passion for a candidate" justifies comments like: "Why don't you leave with Chucho and do us all a favor. We don't need anymore blight in this country. " There's is a difference between arguing ISSUES aggressively and launching into personal attacks and offensive speculation about another poster's "off-board" life. You need to learn that difference. |

Some of us -- OK me -- stay far far away from some of the other sites on this board because life is too short to trade filth with people who you have never even met! While it's great to feel passionate, it's not great to get nasty -- something we dealt with in our members-only ASJA forum after a few people were out of control. While some people groove on watching verbal slugfests, many of us are sickened by them. |

And its pretty annoying, since its a message board and not a novel board. I have no time to read these page long posts, I have to work. I am put off if I go to a topic and see it has 70 post thinking it might be interesting, but turns out 45 are form NP. Boring. its not nasty, its just a fact. And MHO. |

The overwhelming number of NP posts, all smiley faces and exclamation points, is off putting to me personally. It seems that this poster appeared on the scene fairly recently and has inundated the board. Who has time to post continuously all day? Seriously, please give it a rest. Team Nikon. |

What happened was NP ran out of people on the Current Events board, so came over here. It got down to me and noname left over there -- good to see a few others, like Keltoi, trying to take it back today. NP got a warning from Greg yesterday about name-calling. However, since she doesn't think she does it (for example, making fun of DHernandez's name in a thread about a crime that devolved into a rail against Mexican immigrants), it apparently didn't make an impression. Greg also restated the truism that it's best not to reply to certain posters. |

That's why you have her her. So if she does it to you, stand your ground by continuing to talk with the other posters in the thread -- don't hand this one any power by letting her drive you off the board. |
