First, if a poster wants to go into current events or other conflict ridden areas, let them. Who cares how they trash each other in those boards. Its like a WWF smackdown event in there. Thats what they're for. Actually I can imagine NP giving (or getting) the piledriver from some other poster. Then they can come here to OT to share recipies and talk about their dogs. (just joking.) This all seems like much ado about nothing. |

Everything has its place, politics and current events included. I don't follow those boards so I can't say I've read any of the things leading up to this attack on NP, so it was strange to me this morning to find this post in the OT section because it felt random and like it belongs in current events or news. I always considered the OT section to be a little guilty pleasure, a break I gave my mind when I was writing and dealing with all the other issues that our professions bring (pitches and waiting for editors to get back, thank you notes and follow-up, etc.). It's supposed to be like bubble gum for our brains when we're burnt out! Thank goodness for limericks and anal bleaching! |
