I heard things are in disorder there with layoffs and such. Anyone know?

Yes, it's true. Not sure why, but there has been a lot of turnover.

I had unsuccessful pitches but friendly and encouraging emails from Linda Rodgers - anyone know if is she is still there? This was a while ago ....

This article explains a lot of it?apparently, things have been rough since Time Inc. sold Parenting to Bonnier.
