| Lula | Posted 5/9/2008 4:13:09 AM | show profile Ha! Apparently, they could use a new HR admin, too - maybe one who realizes that writing job descriptions requires actually translating the in-house memo into something for the public. |
| Lula | Posted 5/9/2008 4:13:40 AM | show profile Maybe that's what happens when you have the intern post a job description? |
| ConfidentDesigner | Posted 5/9/2008 3:01:51 PM | show profile That IS hilarious! I interviewed (via phone) with an HR person at a local company last week after applying for a position that was posted on craigslist. After interviewing me on the phone, they requested some direct mail PDFs which I promptly sent. They also already had my online portfolio and complete resume which they really liked. She kept telling me that I was an "exceptionally strong candidate" and then all of a sudden I got an abrupt "not interested" email. When I asked for some feedback as to why I was being rejected so abruptly, here's verbatim, the response I got back from her: "Sometimes it's simply a subtle piece that a hiring manager is looking for; it's hard for them to identify, so it's hard for me to identify. There is no question that you are an excellent candidate. Everyone agreed on that. It simply wasn't quite what they were looking for. Hope that helps!" Is this bizarre, or what? |
