| kt514 | Posted 5/6/2008 9:47:13 PM | show profile | email poster i'm currently an associate editor at one of the big houses. i've been at that level for 2 years and have been in publishing for 5 years. all signs point to receiving a promotion this year (given excellent feedback and encouragement, recent bonus, etc). i've had a hard time determining what sort of salary i should expect/ask for at the editor level. i'm currently making $42,000 and wondering what sort of jump i can expect. basically, i don't want to sell myself too short just because i don't have a clear idea of what's standard, though i know if i was given an opportunity to change houses and pursued it i would have more of an ability to negotiate. is $50,000-$55,000 reasonable? thanks for any advice you can offer. |
