There are still survivors who hold reunions in Kansas,Nebraska,and Iowa. The state of Kansas even has a listing of passengers and the people who sponsored them. |

Certainly you don't feel that this is a case in which America and America alone is at fault. This country was populated by people crammed on boats and sent to the new world. Those persecuted for religious freedom, criminal and yes even "population control" were the impetus for the founding of this country and only when it became a financial boon to those on the otherside of the ocean, did America become the land of opportunity. |
| eclecticblue | Posted 5/9/2008 7:32:00 PM | show profile lol....well naturally I wasn't inferring that you were blaming the US for histories atrocities, unfortunately, I think if one looks, not even with a great deal of effort, that they will find untold numbers of scandalous and outrageous misfortunes that have been the perpetrated. One need only look at the west coast and see a similar sad history of the asian americans immigrants. Sadly it's merely an example of history repeating itself time and time again. |
