Topic: Rates for writing 10-page white paper?

How much research do you have to do -- for some white papers, I've had to interview 1 person, for others 20 people, for others I just grabbed info off the Internet. Do you have special expertise that makes you more in demand? For projects like this, mostly in the tech space, I've gotten anywhere from $1 to $3 a word. |
| sparky_fuego | Posted – 5/19/2008 4:28:58 PM | show profile universities pay about 75 cent a word. biotech and tech companies anywhere from $1.25 - $2.00. hope this helps. if it's a one- or two-source project, you're ok charging on the low end. but if you have to work with many sources or if there are a lot of review passes, i'd go higher. i generally restrict revisions to one round, with additional rounds charged by the hour. |
