| keke11 | Posted 5/16/2008 10:30:09 PM | show profile I was in this same position a few months ago for an internship I really wanted. I actually overnighted a thank-you letter. They told me they would be making their decision within a few days and I just didn't want to take the chance of my letter arriving after their mind had already been made up. In the end it worked out because my thank-you letter had been signed for that morning and I had been offered the position by the same afternoon, almost within a few hours of them recieving it. I'm not saying this was the only reason I got the internship but it probably made me stand out from the rest. I wouldn't obviously do this for every interview but this opportunity was a dream for me to land so sometimes it helps to go above and beyond. |
