| Young Newbie | Posted 6/2/2008 11:45:39 AM | show profile my interviewer hasn't told me if I should call her when I arrive. at the last interview i went on i was told to call her. I don't know if theres a receptionist or not. advice? |
| Unemployed-gal | Posted 6/2/2008 12:06:55 PM | show profile Why would you need to call your interviewer before you've arrived? If the interview is set up, there's no need for further contact before you meet her. |
| kristendkirk | Posted 6/2/2008 2:44:09 PM | show profile If there isn't a receptionist, give your contact a few minutes (5-10?) after your pre-arranged time to come out and greet you. If she doesn't after that point, call and say you just wanted to make sure you didn't get your wires crossed -- or something non-threatening instead of "where the heck are you?! -- and that you're ready as soon as she's free. |
| Scottie | Posted 6/2/2008 4:08:02 PM | show profile Arrive five to 10 minutes early and if there's no receptionist to let the interviewer know you're there, find another way to let whoever needs to know you've arrived. Either phone your interviewer on your cell, ask the guy walking out the door, etc. Most likely there will not be a problem or your interviewer would have warned you. And don't wait until five to 10 minutes late. It may make it look as if you arrived late for the intvu, which is not a good thing to do. |
| sheilamullan | Posted 6/2/2008 11:20:30 PM | show profile one more thing.. Unsure how big a building this is, but if there is major tight security to get into the building, make sure to leave enough time. Good luck! Sheila |
