| FraKctured | Posted 6/13/2008 9:40:36 PM | show profile | email poster I just joined Bistro and I'd like to know how this works in commercial magazines (I've been published entirely in academic journals so far). Should one submit to multiple sources at the same time? How does that play out in terms of acceptance (especially given that a month or more might go by while waiting to hear back)? Thanks for any help! |
| Village Gal | Posted 6/14/2008 8:26:03 AM | show profile I'm sure this haas been discussed here before. Do some searching. Take some classes. Read some books: The ASJA guide to Freelance Writing; The Renegade Writer. You generally don't send completed pieces. You query for asignments. |

| Village Gal | Posted 6/14/2008 4:52:27 PM | show profile I think you still should query first unless it's an essay. |
