| sue ellen mischke | Posted 6/24/2008 9:52:33 PM | show profile What is it? |
| hawkmail | Posted 6/24/2008 10:55:56 PM | show profile Unfortunately, staying off the dance floor! Tone deaf and two left feet, here. |
| Righter | Posted 6/25/2008 12:43:16 AM | show profile Figure eights with the hips (it's a belly dance move, called the maya). I love it. Makes me feel purty :) |
| Bleak Spouse | Posted 6/25/2008 1:19:50 AM | show profile i was a great square dancer when i was 12. |
| wineaux | Posted 6/25/2008 11:02:43 AM | show profile That ass jiggling thing that Beyonce does always catches the eye of the most fetching man in the room. Kidding! |
| caitlinkelly | Posted 6/25/2008 11:22:35 AM | show profile A tight spin, either direction; decades of ballet and jazz class helps. |
| pholiday | Posted 6/25/2008 12:59:53 PM | show profile When I was a child my signature move was the chest press, to the beat of the music, of course. I thought it was SO cool! We would make up routines and make my mom/older sisters watch. I was always the one who looked like I was convulsing to "I must increase my bust" exercises! |

| mad fingers | Posted 6/25/2008 1:17:43 PM | show profile Kazatski! Of course, I was better at it before I broke my ankle (not dancing at the time).... |
| chucho | Posted 6/25/2008 1:20:01 PM | show profile the drunken moonwalk followed by "holding up the roof" with a half-empty bottle of crown royal while yelling the lyrics to "ventilator blues" in exaggerated black english -- gets the ladies every time, especially if you do it wearing a cardigan, corduroy slacks and tassled dress shoes. |
| keltoi2 | Posted 6/25/2008 2:32:25 PM | show profile A few years of very sporadic ballroom dance classes with my wife have pretty much conquered my white man's overbite dance moves, but my wife (7 years nonsporadic dance class) still has to whisper the steps (1...2...sloow, 3 4 fast) to me while on the dance floor. But to onlookers it just looks like we're having sparkling conversation, so it's OK. |
| nandy | Posted 6/25/2008 2:34:55 PM | show profile Right foot step...slide together...left foot step...slide together...right foot step with a dip...slide together...left foot step with a dip...slide together. All the while, swinging arms slightly ahead of body. Then there is the advanced: right foot step with a dip...slide together...right foot step behind then back together... You get the picture. Not very energetic. |
| Astera | Posted 6/25/2008 2:43:25 PM | show profile I can do the suicide drop, but only if I have an experienced partner. I really want to take some dance classes, either swing or ballroom, but my husband was traumatized by our dance lesson experience before our wedding, so he says he's done with dance. ------ www.adventuresofastera.blogspot.com |
| worldofnatasha | Posted 6/25/2008 3:25:02 PM | show profile I'm a big fan of the waving arms in the air in an artistic hippie groovin' with the spirits sort of way. |
| worldofnatasha | Posted 6/25/2008 3:28:19 PM | show profile very amusing... ... and *sort of* on topic: http://www.theonion.com/content/node/39024 |
| Nikongirl | Posted 6/25/2008 4:57:23 PM | show profile ALL of the moves together and indivdually from the THRILLER video. We learned the entire video move for move in dance class years ago. I could do those moves inside out and backwards - you woulda thought I WAS Michael Jackson!!! Now, not so much. |
| mmc | Posted 6/25/2008 5:32:29 PM | show profile I was fantastic at that 80's skip-kick dance with matching arm movements. In my Frankie Say t-shirt and my Molly Ringwald floppy hat, I was the heighth of cool. Wake me up before you go go, and take me dancin' tonight.... |
| sue ellen mischke | Posted 6/25/2008 10:04:31 PM | show profile i'm a shy dancer. so, i chair dance. with a drink. |
| desertroo | Posted 6/25/2008 11:14:07 PM | show profile I love to dance. I have to agree with the other poster, the best way to catch the eye of a guy is to do a few bellydance moves with my hips. I can also swing dance, if I have a partner that knows how. |
