did anyone see this movie? i was kinda blown away by the first half of it. the first half is a lot like and as good as a charlie chaplin classic like gold rush or city lights.

I absolutely loved it. That's what I love about pixar though, that they make movies for kids and adults. Although when that first shot of the movie came up I remember thinking, "wow, they're really doing something different this time."

And the short was my favorite of all of them.

My husband wants to see it. Maybe next weekend.

I can't wait to collect all the little plastic figurines made in China! But I'm still going to see the film and like it even though the "green" message about is kind of ironic. I winder how Pixar is going to handle making Happy Meal figures, Wall E baby stroller bobbles or whatevs. I except a snarky column about this subject in a matter of days -- my guess is it will first appear in Slate and then it will become a media meme, appearing as articles in other pubs.

it made me cry. Seriously. The first half of the movie was brilliant and frightening. I found it interesting that it was very comparable to "Idiocracy" in many ways, but told in a much better way, I think.

funny, i seriously disliked the short at the beginning. too overly cute seeing a rabbit reaching for a carrot. but it was worth it to sit through for what followed.

i thought the short at the beginning was too violent for kids. it was sort of too violent for me, but i never did like those kinds of cartoons much.

really liked "wall-e," which we saw last night. probably would not have seen it if i hadn't seen this recommendation, so thanks, bleak. to the poster who said it made them teary--me too.

saw it over the weekend - one of the best movies in years. original story, cinematography just everything. Just reminds you how movies can be.
