Topic: Too late to ask for more $$??

When they asked what I wanted in terms of salary I said 35K and $15 hourly. (an insider said they pay 35-40 for the position i was applying for). When I told him the amount his body language said " hmm ok thats easy enough" so that made me think I could have gotten more. I haven't gotten the job offer yet but it is too late to ask for more $$ now that I told him I would accept 35K??? |

Out of curiosity, why did you ask for the lowest of what you knew the job's pay range is? If you knew you were qualified for most aspects of the job, it seems fair to request higher on the scale. |
