Hi. I am fairly new to the world of freelance PR, in that I have not done it very long. At past jobs I have hired freelancers on certain projects but that's not the same thing. I am doing some work for one client and they are paying me to do it 'part time' but expect full time service. I also think part of the problem is they were ripped off by a big pr firm and really don't understand how pr works in general. This afternoon I am going to talk to them about this and am working on a diplomatic way to say this... any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

These kinds of things are very easily handled in a service contract. Lay out a contract that sets your fees and enumerates how many hours of professional time they can expect for such fees. Once you do that, the argument should be nipped in the bud.

You should always set these rules in the beginning, which is why contracts are so essential.
