The kinds of questions like "how do I reach so-and-so?" or "what is a month-end report?" or "what is an A-list celebrity?" and similar could all be addressed in one 6-week, $500 course. Thoughts? The class could also address questions about basic Web research, why a person setting up a PR business needs to invest in media databases, what goes into pitching a client story, product placement and the related things that are normally learned in an internship at an established PR company or in 3-4 classes at the college level. I have to believe, MB, that you would have folks scrambling to take the class. |

We actually run several different PR courses online, including an Intro to PR class that covers many of the basic publicity skills you mentioned. We also offer one-night Public Relations Essentials seminars in several different cities. Anyone who is interested can check out our entire roster of PR classes here: http://www.mediabistro.com/courses/default.asp?fsdi=False&psix=76&fcrm=False&page=1&plen=100&osea=1.
