Social media fever (and dance fever) has been catching at mediabistro.com for a while now. It's one of the focuses Mediabistro Circus. And now, we have "the" authority on the happenings in the land of social networking as a media sponsor, Mashable.com
We here at mediabistro.com love all things Mashable: on the blog, on Twitter. There's even Mashable-branded transportation.
We had some time on our hands, so we grabbed a video camera, the boss, and that ringmaster costume in the closet. (Don't act all "I don't have a ringmaster costume in the closet.")

Maybe we've lived in New York too long, but we love friends with beautiful homes. Even better when those pals let us host our parties at their new digs!
Now our good friends at the 92nd Street Y are opening their doors to us. The venerable uptown institution is hatching a hip downtown offspring this year called 92YTribeca, at 200 Hudson Street near Canal. Mediabistro is helping to break in the joint with a series of panels and parties beginning this spring, including some that celebrate Mediabistro Circus.
We start March 26 with Advertising: The New Creative Agency, a panel discussion and mingle-fest with innovators in interactive media and advertising, including Frank Addante (founder of The Rubicon Project), Trevor Kaufman (CEO of Schematic), Gayle Maltz Meyer (director of new media at Bravo), Marc Ruxin (SVP at McCann), Guy Wieynk (managing director at AKQA), and Dawn Winchester (chief client services officer at R/GA). Get in now, while there are still seats.
On April 2 our own boa-loving Laurel Touby hosts the Mediabistro Circus Launch Party.
When the actual Mediabistro Circus begins on May 20, we'll cap off day one with a special celebration.
Ahhhh...now that we've secured a luxurious borrowed home for our extra-curricular shenanigans, all we need is someone to loan us their car.
If you've always loved the idea of going to circus, but have stopped at
the thought of facing those frightening clowns, we've got some great news
for you.
The first ever Mediabistro Circus is coming to town this spring. Mediabistro Circus is a two-day summit that will celebrate the tools and trends that are re-shaping the tech landscape, and re-defining business and our lives.
So whats being showcased at the Circus?
- Social Media: Its now statistically better than sex and chocolate
- Web Video: Currently bigger than Jesus
- Blogging: Weve come a long way since chronicling one-night stands and our stellar grilled cheese sandwiches
- Digital Publishing: Paper is so 20th century, and trees are our friends
- Mobile Technology: Content is so much cooler when its on something
that costs $600
- And a whole lot more!
Tech geek giants such as Robert Scoble (Fast Company TV), Anil Dash (Six Apart),
Jim Louderback (Revision 3) , and others will be on hand to talk about their
trade, and help give attendees a vision of our tech future. If that future in
any way involves sarcastic robots, we'll be pretty excited.
