Tech messiah and Mediabistro Circus speaker Robert Scoble can be a hard man to track down; He's only on about nineteen of the twenty blogs we read each day. However that didn't stop us from tracking him down (we sent him an email) for answers to questions that are as probing as our fifteen minutes of brainstorming allowed.
Do you have a tech hero?
Steve Wozniak. Co-founder of Apple. He was the last person to design a popular consumer-oriented computer completely himself.
What's your most treasured gadget?
My Macintosh. But having a good laptop is almost to be taken for granted nowadays. My Nokia N95 lets me do live video, so that's something that's become very special in my life.
Favorite blog (besides yours)?
TechCrunch. Of course, is that really a blog anymore since there's more than one person writing it?
Fast Company recently launched a snazzy, very community-oriented re-design using open source and Drupal. Did you have any involvement in that?
Nope, although it was one of the reasons I went to Fast Company instead of another media organization.
Should all online video be free, no questions asked?
I'd never tell other people how to run their businesses, but my video will always be free.
Will Scobleizer and Scobleshow continue to exist when Fast Company TV launches?
ScobleShow belongs to PodTech, so only existing videos will remain there. I will be updating Scobleizer.com, though, and doing a variety of other things like posting photos to Flickr.
Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars. That movie was revolutionary when it came out (I saw it something like three times the first two weeks).
Are you a supporter of topless blogging?
Heheh, there are pictures on the Internet that proves that I am! :-)
UPDATE: FastCompany.TV launched on Monday.
