Mediabistro's third annual LEARN party for students and instructors was a rager: Drink tickets were flying, instructors were drinking, and the humor-writing cool kids hung out in the corner with humor student-turned-TA-turned-instructor Dylan Stableford. Essay-writing instructor Sue Shapiro brought her own posse. Copy editing and proofreading teacher Abby Tannenbaum chatted it up with investigative reporting instructor Tom Zoellner, who recently left for Africa on a story. Hosting the party were mb's director of education and education coordinator, Taffy Akner and Liz Rowland (who, we hear, used their own fair share of drink tickets) while Taffy talked on and on about her upcoming move to Los Angeles (to launch mb LEARN: The L.A. Story!)

Bloomberg's Peter Wainwright and Doug Aldrich toasted another successful year for mb's LEARN program.	Freelancer Carol Pinchefsky came with husband and Bloomberg senior software engineer Peter Wainwright to talk about how much she loved her recently finished class, Basic Training: Introduction to Magazine Writing with Celeste Mitchell.
mediabistro.com's education assistant Sherene Azar, here with BBC reporter and mb TV news reporting instructor Manoush Zomorodi and Colleen Smallfield, announced at the party her new job as library assistant at A&E. mb will miss her!	Men's Journal copy editor Lisa Kearns and her beau, law librarian and research teacher Don MacLeod, caught up with mb's cohostess Taffy Akner.
Why does the humor-writing class always think they're the coolest? Nickelodeon manager Molly Reisner, ELLEgirl senior editor Melissa Walker, Franco Research Group's Cara O'Flynn, Shari Waxman and JCK magazine senior editor Rob Bates would tell you it's because they are.	mb's LEARN team: coordinator Liz Rowland, director Taffy Akner, and assistant-until-she-gave-notice-ten-minutes-before-this-picture-was-taken Sherene.
Freelancer and playwright Devan Sipher, Dagmar Schwartz, writer Susan Shapiro, humor writer and mb humor-writing instructor Todd Jackson, and Sue's editor, Random House's Danielle Perez, hung out in the corner toasting Todd and Danielle's recent engagement. Yes, Sue was the matchmaker!	Stained glass artist Jim Murphy and his wife, realtor Marsha Greenberg, partied 'til the end.
