Course Details

This intensive 3 day seminar will start by introducing you to the Dreamweaver 8 User Interface and how you can customize it. Attendees will be instructed how to define and create a simple local site within Dreamweaver, and how to import text into that web page, using various formattings, such as headings, paragraphs, rulers, special characters, alignments and lists, to emphasize the content.

In this class you can expect to learn about:

• Formatting: CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) – class, tag, and advanced style rules; exporting styles into an external style sheet, how to create and import tabular data, the use of layers, DIV tags, and Library items.
• Images and graphics: Various graphic types and how to use them.
• Links: Using hypertext links for navigation, e-mails, image maps, and jump menus.
• Forms: how to build and test Forms (for collecting data in Product Orders, User Registration, and Search Engines).
• Troubleshooting: how to test broken links, spell check, and how to ensure images appear correctly.
• Final Steps: how to upload and maintain your site
