Course DetailsYou have a unique writing voice. Make the most of it in your writing career. Receive guidance from an award-winning writer on creating your own column for magazines, newspapers, websites, and blogs. You'll hear and discuss samples of columns on audio tape and in print, of personal essays, political commentary, a variety of humor writing, and features. You have a chance to develop your own persona, build your brand as a columnist and find new sources of income, including syndication and secondary sales related to your column. Use the specially designed in-class exercises to strengthen your skills for your new life as a columnist. In this seminar, students can expect to learn:
