Course Details

So you know you can write, but you've never been published in a major magazine, newspaper, or website. Or perhaps you've had success writing in one particular field, but suspect that the samples you have won't demonstrate that you're capable of writing the kind of article you'd like to do now. Since it's true that most editors at major publications will want to see your clips before they'll offer you a major assignment, you're faced with the typical conundrum of beginning and transitioning writers: How do you get published the first time if you need to be previously published to do so?

The good news is that it's totally possible to get published, even in some of the most prestigious publications, without clips. After all, every writer has had to do it. This class will provide you proven strategies to get your foot in the door.

In this seminar you can expect to learn:

  • The publications that are open to new writers (you may be surprised!)
  • How to get top publications to take a chance on you
  • The number one reason new writers don't get published and how to avoid it
  • How to uncover articles that only you can write that magazines will want
  • A clear strategy for getting your foot in the door and your writing in print
