You have a great idea for a documentary film, but don't have much money to make it. In the past when someone wanted to undertake a documentary film project one big question always arose: "Where do I get all the money I need to make it?" Today, however, the increasing accessibility and affordability of today's digital technology makes it easier and easier for first-time filmmakers to make compelling and entertaining documentaries on a shoestring budget. This course will outline some of the most important cost-saving steps needed in bringing your documentary project from conception to an audience.

In this seminar, you will learn:

  • What type of projects can be made on a shoestring budget
  • Where to save money during pre-production, production, and post-production
  • The best equipment to use and how to get it
  • Where to find free crew members to help on your project
  • How to go about trying to raise extra money
  • Some of the best ways to get your film seen by an audience
