With the rise of web video and online entertainment, is small the new big?

New media tools and ubiquitous content distribution mean opportunities for content creators to produce original film and video programs without the need for a big studio. Though it's been predicted that web video will be a high growth area, how can digital and multimedia producers, writers, and studios survive given the current economic environment? To stay competitive, you have to develop a story that can be distributed across multiple platforms, so versatility is key.  This panel discussion will focus on the growing business of the digital studio, the tools you need to produce for new media, and how to develop programming to attract ad dollars and syndicate across media platforms.

We're featuring guest speakers from the content creation side, and the business development side, to help you get a full view of the business. We will be talking about:

  • Producing original content vs. acquiring content
  • Writing for the small screen -- is there a difference?
  • Creating a distribution network
  • Development for multiple platforms
    ... and much more!
