David Abel

David Abel
David Abel is a reporter and editor with The Boston Globe, where he has covered homelessness in New England, dissident movements in Cuba, and the war in Kosovo. He is also an adjunct professor of journalism at Northeastern University and Emerson College.

David's travel experiences include being deported from Cuba, camping beneath a glacier in Iceland, running a pepper farm in the Dominican Republic, sleeping in a cave in Turkey, and exploring Japan in eight hours. His journalism career started in Mexico City, where he covered the nation's social movements and economic woes. He also wrote for the Haight Ashbury Free Press.
