  • Discussions Thursdays 9-10pm ET, 4 sessions full schedule

Whether you work for a big brand, a start-up, a non-profit, or your own company, social media marketing is the best way to get your message directly to your audience. Social platforms and technologies constantly evolve, and it's crucial to understand latest trends to get the results you want before your competition does.

In this intensive class -- limited to 12 students -- you'll work with a social media expert to refine your current social media marketing efforts, measure success, and plan ahead for new campaigns and projects. You'll evaluate recent efforts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google +, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, and other platforms to determine which new tools you should try and which ones you may want to defer.

This class is purely workshop-based and does not contain written lectures.

By the end of class, you will have:

A comprehensive social media strategy including a competitive analysis and an action plan for future success.

In this class, you will learn how to:

  • Analyze your audience to measure engagement and see how to connect more closely
  • Assess and revise efforts to reach influencers, potential customers, and new markets
  • Manage social media resources and balance your workload with tools for time management and scheduling
  • Evaluate competition, determine which campaigns you should follow, and learn from examples
