What is a mediabistro.com Webcast?
mediabistro.com Webcasts are live, targeted multimedia presentations focusing
on media issues. Moderated, interactive and educational, each Webcast runs approximately
40 to 60 minutes in total, and integrates a PowerPoint presentation with audio.
What if I am unavailable when the mediabistro.com Webcast is scheduled to run?
If you can't make the live Webcast presentation, you'll have the ability access
the Webcasts at anytime that is convenient for you. All Webcasts are recorded
and are available on demand for registrants.
How much does it cost to participate?
mediabistro.com Webcasts are free to qualified registrants. You will receive
a confirmation and access instructions to the Webcast prior to the live event.
What are the technology requirements for viewing a mediabistro.com Webcast?
Hardware and Operating System Configurations:
- 200 MHz or faster
- 64 MB RAM minimum/128 MB recommended
- 16 bit sound card
- 65,000 (16 bit) color video display card
- Windows 2000/Windows XP (or)
- Apple Mac OS X 10.3
Media Players:
In order to access the event, you must have one of the following streaming
media players and versions installed on your computer:
- Microsoft Windows Player 9 (Windows-only)
- RealPlayer 10 (Mac & Windows) and RealOne (Windows-only)
Internet Browsers:
In order to access the event, you must have either Microsoft Internet Explorer
6.0 or Netscape 7.1 browser for Windows operating systems. For accessing events
via Mac operating systems you must have Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4.
Internet Connection:
Before you access the event, you should ensure that your browser is configured
to stream media. You will need a minimum Internet connection of 28.8Kbps, a
56Kbps connection is recommended.
Cookies and JavaScript:
In order to access the event, your computer must have cookies and JavaScript
enabled.
How do I access a mediabistro.com Webcast?
After registering for the event through our Web site, you will receive an e-mail
confirming your registration and providing access instructions. Additional instructions
on how to use the Webcast interface will be provided at the beginning of the
event.
Can I listen to a mediabistro.com Webcast over the Internet?
Yes, we offer synchronized streaming audio over the Internet.
