This course will show you how to write, edit, and produce engaging online content.

We'll discuss how to thrive in a high-tech medium with the editorial skills you already have. We'll highlight the main differences between writing and editing for the Web versus print. We'll also talk about the trends in online journalism and what they mean for professional writers and editors.

Sarah Stodola has contributed to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York magazine, The Daily Beast, The Nation, The Awl, Conde Nast Traveler, Slate, and Forbes Traveler. Previously, she worked as an editor at The Fiscal Times, a publication she helped launch and develop from the ground up. In 2009 and 2010, Sarah also served as an adjunct scholar for the literary journal Lapham's Quarterly. She is the author of the book Process:The Writing Lives of Great Authors, due out in summer 2014.
