Copyright Clearance Center Partners with Reprints Desk

The Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), a non-profit organization that handles copyright licensing, has a new sales representative agreement with Reprints Desk. Under the terms of the deal Reprints Desk is now an authorized sales rep for CCC’s Rightsphere rights management tool for managing license data and re-use permissions. Customers of both companies will have access to their integrated systems.

Miles McNamee, CCC’s VP for licensing and business development had this to say, “In an effort to better serve our customers’ needs, CCC has chosen to expand our relationship with Reprints Desk by making them an authorized sales representative. We see this as a bold step forward for both companies in our relationship as we continue to grow globally and meet the content sharing needs of customers.”

Peter Derycz, CEO Reprints Desk said this in the news announcement, “Integrating CCC-validated rights management information into hundreds of thousands of annual article deliveries will enable workers to more easily share content in copyright-compliant ways. Reprints Desk customers will gain the assurance that their access and use of articles is in full compliance with copyright law.”
